GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER
Hello, there EME 005 MY SMART LEARNERS!!!
Welcome to Fiscal Management in Education class.
The mode of the study in our course is guided independent study with some collaborative learning in the form of "synchronous" and "asynchronous" online discussions and other learning activities.
"Synchronous Learning" is an online or distance education that happens in real-time.
"Asynchronous Learning" or not synchronized or not occurring at the same time through offline modalities or online channels without realtime interaction.
Learners in an asynchronous discussion log in and post their contributions to the discussion whenever they wish to, instead of conducting the discussion at the same time as in a chat or video conferencing. However, there is a specified number of days for each discussion forum and everyone is expected to join the discussion within that period. We will agree when to conduct our synchronous learning if you are ready to finalize the schedule as we are expected to have a maximum of four (4) sessions for that.
Meantime, our first activity for this course is to know one another. Let us share information about ourselves:

ReplyDeleteI am Kristine Joy C. Matilla, a Senior High School Science Teacher from MNHS-Batangas II. Most of my friends and colleagues call me Tin or Tinjoy but you can call me Kristine if you prefer to call me that way.
I thought that my professional journey has ended when i finished my Master of Arts in Education Major in General Science last June 2019. But after several months of restful hiatus, I embark once again in my educational journey because i still crave for more wisdom needed in dealing with people and my profession as well.
Being in the EdD Major in Educational Management has resulted in a 360-degree turn in my educational journey, imagine the discipline taught in my MAED days are extremely different from the program that i am currently enrolled. That is why I am so thankful for the knowledge, skills, and attitude that i have obtained under the supervision of excellent professors in the field of Education.
Thank you Dr. Fronda for being one of my professors this semester. I miss the substantial discussions that we have in Organizational Management of Education Institution during the 2nd Trimester. I am looking forward to learn more in our class this semester.

Work Background: 13 years as a public school Elementary Teacher, currently teaching Grade 6 pupils at Townsite Elementary School.
Present Location: I am presently residing at Cabcaben, Mariveles, Bataan
Expectations (from the course, faculty, learning strategies, etc.): I am expecting to learn the different practices of Fiscal Management in educational system. The differences between fiscal and financial management as well as their importance in education.
I look forward to learning new knowledge and meeting new people in this class most especially I am grateful that I have given a chance to be handled by a very reverent person and idolized by most teachers when it comes in the field of education Dr. Roland Fronda. Educational Attainment: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, I took 18 Units of Methods of Teaching and just finished my Masters of Arts in Nursing last February.
Work Background: I am currently a clinical instructor under the College of Nursing at Angeles University Foundation, Pampanga.
Present Location: I live in my hometown in Angeles City, Pampanga.
Expectations: I want to gain the knowledge required to analyze and report on a broad range of financial and business performance information by learning Fiscal Management and I think it will benefit us a lot soon. Financial planning is a skill that you will have to use for the rest of your life if you aspire to be successful.
I am excited to be in this class since I have been hearing a lot of good feedback about Dr. Roland Fronda’s class. So glad to be here po and I am looking forward to our journey with my classmates as we embark and share our experiences towards achieving our goal:)

Work Background: I am a public school teacher for 17 years now. At present, I am teaching grade two pupils under the Special Science class at Cabcaben Elementary School.
Present Location: I am currently residing at Mt. View, Mariveles, Bataan.
Expectations (from the course, faculty, learning strategies, etc.) :I am expecting that through this course, Fiscal Management, I will be equipped with essential knowledge and understanding that will benefit me a lot. As a future school leader, it is a must that I have an in-depth know-how on the fiscal policies and best practices in financial analysis, planning, revenue administration, budgeting and management of the financial resources of the organization.

WORK BACKGROUND: I am currently affiliated at BATAAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL- SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL since 2016 teaching English subjects and handling Grade 11 and 12 students from different tracks but I started teaching since 2013 at Bataan Montessorri School- Cupang Central. Before this calling, I am a Tupperware Manager, Trainor, and Consultant and handling dealers, staffs, and distributors from San Fernando Pampanga, Bataan and Olongapo to any point of Luzon for 13 years.
PRESENT LOCATION: I am from Sta. Rosa Pilar Bataan, with 2 Children and a happy wife.
ROOTS: San Antonio Zambales/ Taal Batangas
EXPECTATIONS: From the course- everything that can help me to be a better future leader. anything that can widen up my horizon, all the things that can make me understand better on the Why's and How's not just of the education system but the entire process per se.

Work Background: 13 yrs in the service; I have taught kindergarten learners, high school students, college students at STI College, and now elementary pupils for more than a decade.
Present Location: I am from Capitangan, Abucay, Bataan
My father orinate at the Island of Tibaguin,Hagonoy, Bulacan.
My mother is from the City of Olongapo in East Tapinac. I have lots of relatives in Zambales
Expectations (from the course, faculty, learning strategies, etc.) : a fruitful and enjoyable semester ahead. It's my second time under your expertise, no doubt it will be memorable and more learning about Fiscal Management. Yet, as of now, I am looking forward to passing all my subjects. In our present situation, I have a hard time teaching or should I say, work from home and studying at the same time. I gain a lot of gray hair, I think because of stress. Becoming a school head is the last thing in my mind.
