Fiscal Management in Education
Course Description
:
This course is designed to provide graduate school students with an overview of the public agency budgeting and financial management. It is intended to introduce the students the financial management concept of managing public educational institutions as public agency budgets are the means by which government resources are allocated. As future and aspiring school head and fiscal manager at the same time, the students should be able to realize the need to warrant the equitable allocation of the school's financial resources to achieve the desired learning outcomes. While the focus of the course is more of school-based management on fiscal matters, the students are also encouraged to consider these areas in terms of opportunities for development and improvement confronting the system of education in the Philippines. The course provides practical knowledge, skills, and attitudes in understanding, analyzing, and preparing government school budgets.

In this course, learners are expected to use Google Classroom, and this blog site every so often and other useful Learning Management Systems applicable and accessible to all. I am pretty sure that most of you are already confident using it, however, for first-timers google classroom is a classroom application (app) designed to provide the teacher and the learner a dashboard or platform to unify their work with the other Google applications. Google Classroom will help facilitate paperless communication and streamline our flow of discussion. I suggest that you download this app on your smartphone, too. Here is how to do it.
